Aluminium is a natural occurring chemical substance with the atomic symbol Al, and atomic number 13. Aluminium has a low density greater than those of many other precious metals, at about one-third that of silver. It also has an extremely high affinity for oxygen, forming a protective layer on the surface of any metal when subjected to the air.
In addition, aluminium is very resistant to corrosion, rusting, denting, buffing and scratching, as well as strengthening the abilities of certain polymers to resist stress and vibration.
