Arnold Schwarzenegger is the Terminator.

Released back in 1984, the science fiction action film The Terminator, starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as a deadly assassin, sent from 2029 back to 1984.  A cyborg, whose mission is to kill Sarah Connor and her yet unborn son, (John) who would one day in the future save the world from a post-apocalyptic existence, Skynet, and extinction.  Written and directed by James Cameron the film topped the box office in the United States for two weeks and went on to be such a big hit that several sequels, comic books, a television series, video games and novels were all produced off the back of the film.  The film has many exciting twists and turns as The Terminator, (Arnold Schwarzenegger) tries to kill Sarah, who is being protected by Kyle Reese, (Michael Biehn) a human soldier, also sent back from 2029.

The Terminator is a ruthless killing machine and has an extremely strong metal endoskeleton possibly coated with a PTFE Coating that makes it almost impossible to penetrate. This specialised outer coating could have been supplied by a company such as http://www.poeton.co.uk/standard-treatments/plasma-coatings/.  After Kyle manages to escape the clutches of The Terminator with Sarah, he explains why the deadly machine is desperately trying to kill her.  Skynet has created an army of machines in the future and is about to kill off the last of the human population.  When Kyle tells Sarah that he has loved her for a long time from the future they kiss, become intimate and her son John is conceived. John Connor is the future leader of a powerful resistance unit that has the power to stop the deadly machines.  Trying to ensure that John never lives to become this powerful leader Skynet sends The Terminator to kill him even before he is born.

A bloody battle ensues between Kyle, Sarah and The Terminator which ends up with the three of them in a factory.  With several pipe bombs being detonated and The Terminator still in pursuit, Kyle thrusts his final bomb into the Machines stomach and detonates it, killing himself in the process. Even though the deadly machine has been blown into pieces the body, arms and head are still moving and try to grab Sarah.  As a last resort and with her final ounce of strength Sarah manages to lure the body into a hydraulic press which finally crushes it and ends its artificial life.
