Since TikTok was banned in India and other countries, many social media apps have tried to replace the reel feature to provide audiences with short videos and make their platforms more engaging. What could be a better example than Instagram and Facebook? While the creators appreciated Facebook’s effort to roll out the reel feature, not everyone likes these short videos.
There must have been many times where you’ve been completely taken aback and the short videos or Reels start playing on Facebook. As soon as you click on a page, the videos start loading and before you know it you’ve spent hours scrolling through them.
This is due to the automatic video feature and there may be some videos that grab your attention due to interest, but most of the time they are annoying!
Not only that, auto-playing videos can also be harmful and expose people to unwanted and offensive content that they shouldn’t have seen by default.
Whether you are looking for a method to stop these videos on your social media account, or are looking for a complete solution, we have tips to help you with that!
Remember that you will need to make settings changes for each of the devices you own. This is mainly due to the fact that the preferences that have been set on the phone may differ from those on the PC.
Some people like the feature on Facebook, while others are completely against it. These videos can also have annoying, disturbing and inappropriate content.
Technically, it may not be possible to completely eliminate such features from the application setup as it has become part and functionality of the app. However, there are a few solutions and we’ll explore them right here!
