Horning – For somewhere near the water but much more peaceful, head to Horning. The houses line the waterside, and you can have a wander around this picturesque village to sample the local food and drink and browse in the shops. You can even take a boat trip on the river or enjoy a picnic at the water’s edge.

Cley – Further inland you will find the village of Cley. The windmill is the dominant feature of this village which seems to have been frozen in time from its appearance. If you love nature, the wildlife reserve is a must where you can enjoy walking and spotting the many species of bird that come here.
